Technology

I have been watching the "James Cameron Avatar" Movie and I have started thinking, why can't our computers move information by the movement of our fingers. The biggest problem is that the computers don't know where to send the information. I think that it should be possible to take a piece of whatever mineral is used for memory and surgically place it in your finger. I know that is a little extreme but y0u could also have the mineral on top of your finger but then it could scratch the screen. I think that this seems extreme because society doesn't really feel that technology can evolve from where it is in a drastic way other than compacting things and making them faster and easier. That would be the only problem with the idea though. The time taking to load things would be difficult. There seems to be a lot of progress in compacting information though and maybe by the time we make this, things will be faster. Not that there already fast enough.

  1. I noticed that on your profile you like comments that make you think? Hopefully this gets you to :)

Well, how exactly would you surgically insert this type of mineral? When you described it, a picture came to my mind of a perfectly carved thin peice of this mineral to cover the inside tip of the finger.

How exactly would you get the mineral inside the finger as well? As in shape-wise.
Would it be a chunk of mineral bulging from the finger, a cap like I mentioned, or something else?

Maybe you could design this technology for the world, it's a great idea!
